What is DHA?

What is DHA?

DHA, or dihydroxyacetone, is the active ingredient in spray tanning which creates the brown hue by interacting with the amino acids in the skin. The percentage of DHA that is in the spray tanning solutions will determine the depth of tan that will be produced. Watch this informative video from Norvell for an excellent portrayal of how the ingredient, which has been derived from sugar cane, works to produce a gorgeous tan!

Keep in mind that your SprayChic Expert will assist you in determining which formula would be best for you. This includes the consideration of not only your natural skin tone, but your comfort in being darker than what you were today. She will chat with you about your day-to-day activities to help you decide if it would be ideal to choose the Accelerated or the Traditional SprayChic Airbrush Tan.

One more thing…we consider each of our clients a “walking billboard” for SprayChic. We don’t want you to be orange either.
